Respect for intellectual property
We highly respect intellectual property rights. Provider names, titles, posters, clips, and other promotional materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. Their appearance on ShortGuru does not transfer ownership to us.
How to submit a copyright notice
If you believe content or a link on ShortGuru infringes your copyright, email [email protected]. Please include enough information for us to verify and act on the request:
- Your name, organization, and reliable contact information.
- The copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The exact ShortGuru URL or disputed link.
- A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Any supporting evidence that helps us assess the claim.
Review and takedown
We pledge to review a complete, good-faith notice promptly and to remove or disable access to identified disputed links within 24 hours while the claim is assessed. We may request clarification, preserve records needed to investigate the report, and notify the affected provider or source when appropriate.
If content was restricted in error, the affected party may contact the same mailbox with evidence supporting restoration. Repeated or deliberate infringement may result in permanent removal of the affected material or source.
Privacy of reports
We use the personal information in a notice only to review the request, communicate about it, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell this information. It may be shared only when reasonably necessary with relevant providers, professional advisers, service providers, or authorities, and it is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
