Nanny killed my daughter, my husband and brother cover for her, I fight back desperately
Layla grew up orphaned and was raised by her older brother Marcus, the only person she ever truly trusted and relied on. Alongside him stood George, her gentle and caring husband, a lawyer. After marriage, her life was peaceful and stable. The family hired a young, meek, and well-behaved nanny named Lina, who had remained quiet and obedient for years, earning the trust of everyone in the household. During a seaside vacation, what should have been a warm and joyful trip turned into a fatal tragedy. Lina, consumed by twisted jealousy, secretly coveted everything Layla possessed. Seizing an opportunity when no one was watching, she deliberately lured Layla’s seven-year-old daughter, Lily, near the pool, staged a false accident, and cruelly drowned the innocent little girl. Witnessing Lina push her daughter into the water, Layla insisted on reporting the incident to the police, determined to uncover the truth and seek justice for her child. But what shattered her completely was the betrayal of the two men she loved most. Her brother Marcus and her husband George, blinded by appearances and moved by pity for Lina’s poor background and gentle demeanor, assumed it was merely an accident. Under the guise of protecting Layla, they feared she would suffer unbearable pain if reminded of the scene, so they fiercely obstructed the investigation, urging her to let go of the past and keep things quiet. Heartbroken and abandoned by those closest to her, Layla resolved to gather evidence on her own. When the truth about Lina’s deliberate murder came to light, George and Marcus were utterly broken. Their misguided kindness had led to unfathomable ruin. They had pushed away the woman they loved most, watching helplessly as Layla turned away forever—never to look back.
