"Everyone thinks the general’s prized horse is dying. Nora can hear him cursing them all. A penniless maid with a secret gift, Nora risks her life to save Frost. The colt promises her gold, a house—and his terrifyingly handsome owner. General Everett Hale gives her one chance: save his horse, or die with him. When Nora succeeds, she uncovers a deadly conspiracy and makes an enemy of his jealous fiancée. Suddenly, the man who threatened her life is the one protecting it. Nora wanted a paycheck. Frost wanted a new mom. Neither expected the general to lose his heart."
