The Melody He Misremembered
Kristen Facinelli, the rightful heiress of iconic film studio Facinelli Pictures, has endured years of suppression and public smearing from her stepmother Bella and illegitimate stepsister Catherine after her mother’s death. While the media paints her as a vicious socialite, only her bodyguard Kyle stays loyally by her side. Three years ago, Kristen fell in love at first sight with her in-house therapist Wyck Godfrey and humbly pursued him, only to receive constant coldness. She later discovers Wyck is the hidden heir of a top-tier wealthy group, who infiltrated her family solely to protect Catherine, whom he mistakenly believed to be his childhood first love. Heartbroken, Kristen gives up on him completely. When media conglomerate Harrison Enterprises proposes a marriage alliance, Kristen’s stepfamily forces her to marry the rumored paralyzed, comatose Harrison heir in place of Catherine. Kristen agrees, trading the miserable marriage to reclaim her late mother’s film copyrights, shares, and trust fund, planning to cut ties with the Facinelli family forever. Before the wedding, Catherine repeatedly humiliates Kristen in public. During an on-set explosion accident, Wyck rescues the slightly injured Catherine but abandons severely injured Kristen in the burning scene. At Catherine’s birthday banquet, Wyck threatens Kristen with her mother’s final film master tape to force an apology, and Catherine destroys the precious master tape in public, pushing Kristen to the brink of despair. Just then, Kyle arrives with Mrs. Harrison—her mother’s best friend—along with a legal team to back Kristen up. Kristen fights back fiercely and fires Wyck on the spot. After leaving the toxic family, Kristen’s acting career flourishes. She soon uncovers the shocking truth: Wyck has loved the wrong person all along. On the night Kristen wins Best Actress, she exposes the full truth in front of everyone. Wyck finally learns Catherine never loved him, and Kristen is his real childhood white moonlight. Crushed by overwhelming regret, he begs for forgiveness but is firmly rejected. Kyle also reveals his true identity: he is the real Harrison heir. Devastated and remorseful, Wyck takes brutal revenge on the entire Facinelli family. On Kristen and Kyle’s wedding day, a crazed Catherine kidnaps Kristen. Wyck sacrifices his life to save her. Letting go of all past pain and hatred, Kristen finally embraces a bright new life with Kyle.
